Where Are They Now?
Sarah James is a 2009 Red Cloud Graduate. She is the daughter of David and Vickie Nolan of Red Cloud. After graduating from Red Cloud High School, she attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Then she attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and earned a Master’s in Business Administration in Accounting there. In 2014, she became a Certified Public Accountant.
Sarah is currently working for Lutz formerly, McDermott and Miller, in Hastings, Nebraska as an account manager. Sara lives in Red Cloud with her husband, Bo, and their son. Red Cloud Community Schools is proud to have Sara as an Alumni.

Michael Hersh is a 1999 Red Cloud Graduate. He is the son of Cathy Hersh and Greg Hersh of Red Cloud. After Graduating from Red Cloud High School in May of 1999, Michael went to the University of Nebraska at Kearney. There he took all his pre-med classes. After completing 4 years of classes he was accepted in to Logan college of Chiropractic. He then transferred to Logan in St. Louis for another 4 years of school at which he earned two degrees, a Bachelor’s in human biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
He was awarded the opportunity to practice with the top doctors in the country. Many are in a group of health care provides called Maximized Living. After graduation He then moved to Atlanta for a year, and learned the basics of a clinic, improved x-ray skills and patient doctor communication. Next he moved to Orlando where he was in charge of one of the largest clinics in the country.
He worked alongside many Olympic athletes, professional sports stars, and many college athletes, and mickey mouse. Orlando was full of life changing experiences and he grew as a person and along with his clinical skills. After completing a year there, he moved back to the good life, and opened his own Maximized Living health center in Omaha and grew to be in the top 10 percent of chiropractors in the country. He ran his clinic for 6 years full time. After a lot of thought he decided to follow his next dream. He stepped down in his clinic as the head doctor and work part time.
He now runs a classic car restoration company. In 2015, he opened Drivers, a full custom, classis muscle car restoration shop. He found that restoring old cars is a true passion of his and couldn’t be happier still being able to practice part time. Being able to restore life to old cars and health to people will also be a true blessing. He couldn’t imagine doing anything else. He would like to pass on to other Red Cloud students, alumni, and community members to “Follow your Dreams!!!” Red Cloud Community Schools is proud to have Michael as an Alumni.

Brady Schmitz is a 2015 graduate of Red Cloud High School. Brady graduated from NCK on May 12, 2017 with an Associate Degree In Auto Collision. He has moved to Kearney, and is employed with Turner Body Shop.
Della McDole is a Red Cloud High School graduate of the class of 2011. Della attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln for 3 ½ years and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. While completing her degree she spent time between Lincoln and Washington D.C. completing an internship in Senator Deb Fischer’s offices.
Upon completion of her degree, Della was immediately offered a full-time position with Sen. Fischer as a Staff Assistant. She accepted the offer and was quickly promoted to Mail Manager for Sen. Fischer about two years ago. Della is responsible for all correspondence with the senator’s office. She has the responsibility of determining what correspondence should go to whom on the staff. This includes telephone, email, and regular mail just to name a few of the communication methods that Della has to work with. She also assists the Administrative Director on a daily basis.
From speaking with Della she is very busy and enjoys her position a great deal. When asked what she would like to do in the future, Della said that she would like to come back to Nebraska and still work in government in some capacity. She would also like current and future students to “keep your options open; you never know when a great opportunity will arise.”
